With a spacious toe box, customizable lug length, and a convenient yet potentially problematic dual BOA dial system, the HSV provides both responsiveness and protection. Its Michelin rubber outsole and removable Carbitex plate enhance versatility but note the grip decreases in colder weather. Ideal for technical terrain, though runners with narrow feet may struggle with fit initially. Praised for exceptional durability even after hundreds of miles.
Engineered specifically for technical trail running, the GS:PGH offers a softer, bouncier midsole compared to other Speedland models, along with seamless propulsion due to rocker geometry. Its durable upper and Michelin outsole ensure exceptional performance on runnable trails, particularly steep inclines. Featuring a dual BOA system for customizable fit, this model is particularly suitable for wide-footed runners. It may require a break-in period due to its initially firm foam, and it doesn't accommodate alternative insoles (a downside with all Speedland shoes).

The TAM is a maximalist trail shoe featuring excellent underfoot protection, a wide toe box, and notable stability despite its high stack height. Its aggressive forefoot rocker provides a quicker toe-off, making it faster and more agile than expected for a maximalist shoe. With a customizable lug system, dual BOA dials, and removable carbon plate, it’s particularly well-suited for gravel roads and moderately technical terrain. However, the breathable upper tends to let in dirt on dusty trails, and the Michelin outsole performs less optimally on wet, mossy rocks.
