Once Carlos got a pair of these Asics on his feet, it was a game changer. The shoe is “super cushioned and light…excellent for long distance!” Carlos loves the support they provide for easy long runs.

Carlos the Runner: The origin story

Carlos found running after recovering from a back injury. 

He was trying to stay active and exercising with various cardio modalities, but running was his favorite. He was hooked! 

“I started on the treadmill, and I loved it from that moment on," says Carlos. "Then trained for my first half, and the rest is history.” 

Ten years later, Carlos is still running strong.

Carlos has run well over 700 miles of race events including:

• Two 50-milers
• Seven 50k races
• 12 marathons
• Countless half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks

Carlos promotes the #sexypace and running with friends to keep the training vibe high. 

His main motivation for running is to have fun: 

“I’ve done all of the distances and PRed every single one, so now my focus is on having fun and staying away from injuries.”

Carlos’ 'why' for running? 

• Because he can!
