The Great Irish Run Review

Phoenix Park is Ireland's equivalent to New York City Central Park. Beautiful well maintained park. You run past the American ambassador's house, they're equivalent of the White House, as well as several other notable monuments and memorials.

Well organized.

The Great Irish Run Review
Wide Open finish line easily marked

With a race that holds up to 5000, very well organized corrals.  To compare apples to apples:  Boston 5k has Corral's marked by mileage pace. This can be confusing for international travelers in the US as last year we saw some 7-minute K pace runners in the 7-minute pace per mile.  This was alleviated here because the signage for the corrals was by your anticipated finish time.

Everyone's t-shirt and bib was in an envelope.  If you were locals, It was mailed to you.  If you are an international traveler, volunteers were ready to hand them out.  Packet pickup was available the day prior or the morning of

Water station

Children's 250 ml water bottle with a squeezy top!

This sounds like the most ridiculous thing to be excited about, But at the halfway mark and finish they gave you a $250 ml child's water bottle.  Easy to carry easy to drink, recyclable!  Far more efficient than cups.

Cool wooden "Medal"

Beautifully painted wooden award

In the realm of environmentally conscious, A laser cut wooden metal at the end, as well as a matching race shirt.  Excellent swag.
