Hoka One One - Cielo X1 2.0

Summary

This is a tough review for me. I have had some of my fastest runs in these shoes, but not with out issue. This is a true race show, but not "The" race shoe.

Hoka One One Cielo X1 2.0 Review

Had three amazing races with these shoes, but not without is cost. This is the first Hoka that have caused me to lose a toenail.  This is due to the smaller toe box.  In retrospect, perhaps I should have gone up a half size. After over 40 pairs of Hoka, this is a first.

Due to the cutout, you need strong ankles.  If you're an over pronator, this may not be the right shoe for you, BUT give them a test runs if you can!

Big improvement from the Cielo X1

Hoka One One Cielo X1 2.0 Review
Cut moved from the lateral to the medial.

Several improvements from the previous model. The most obvious is the cutout drove from the outside to the inside (lateral to medial). Not a shoe for over pronation prone runners or those with week ankles.

Lighter weight, and a snappy responsive shoe. Tested in several big races bringing great ganes.
