Skratch's recovery mix is designed for post-exercise consumption. The mix helps to rehydrate and replenish glycogen stores rapidly. A serving is two scoops (50g) and contains necessary electrolytes and a 4:1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein.
I used this mix for the first time after a hard hill workout that I needed to recover from quickly since I was planning a second workout later in the day. While I wish the mix had more protein per serving (hence the 4 star review), I definitely look forward to this mix more than my typical post-workout scoop of whey.
The Skratch recovery mixes well with water in a shaker bottle, making it a great option for on-the-go recovery. I'll definitely be recommending it to coaching clients and taking it with me to big race weekends where I need to recover for a second event.
The Skratch Recovery mix has a short and sweet (literally) ingredients list. I appreciate that they added lactase and probiotics into the mix to help with digestion. If you're not a cow's milk drinker, Skratch has a vegan option with pea protein and MCT from coconut.
