New Balance - 1080 v13

Summary

The newest version of New Balance's long running line of daily trainers is even more cushioned and built for easy days and long comfortable miles. Not a speed demon, but plush and soft with solid return to keep those miles going.

New Balance 1080 v13 Review

So I have used multiple versions of this shoe, you can even see my review from the last version, 12, here:
https://www.weeviews.com/reviews/1897/fresh-foam-1080-v12
They basically redid everything on this shoe from the previous version. New upper that feels better and doesn't have the stretch that made the last version feel loose after a while. The grip is a tad better in rain and so far  after about 80 miles shows very little wear, which it should be for a daily trainer.
The foam is the biggest change to the shoe. Higher stack, softer foam, and some nice energy return.
For me this is a great recovery shoe or long run day shoe if you aren't pushing the pace to much. The foam just lets your feet and legs go for a long time. It's not terrible at speed, but there are just a lot of better options out there that give better energy return and kinda make you want to go fast
However, this will easily be a high use shoe in my lineup for the majority of my miles. It does a good job at just letting me run at a nice easy pace.
My only gripe is it my feet feel a little hot in them and I worry when summer comes how they will feel.

Updated tread

Built for a daily trainer and it shows. Not to much wear and I expect to easily get 400 plus miles out of these. The v12 lasted about 350 and I mainly replaced to foam breakdown.
