Summary

Saucony claims that the Peregrine 13 “it's everything you need to go farther, faster”. And I couldn’t agree more. I can honestly say that the Peregrine have exceeded my expectations and it been a blast trail running with them.

Saucony Peregrine 13 Review

I’m already a fan of Saucony running shoes. I ran my very first half marathon and my second half marathon wearing Saucony Endorphin speed 2. I have always liked trail running but I didn’t have the correct shoes, and even though I have done a couple of ultras I didn’t own a proper trail running shoe yet.

When I saw the Peregrine 13 I really wanted to give them a try. I got them in the Glazier/Bronce color. First because it called my attention and second because my teenage daughter thought they were cool. To be honest I hesitated taking the to the trails specially a day after a lot of rain because I didn’t want to get them dirty.

First impressions: love the design and color, it is a light weight shoe, it is true to size, has great cushion, and great support. Also, sustainably built.

With a light and airy engineered mesh, and minimal overlays. Has a soft sock liner, and the midfoot hits perfectly. Great protection and the moderately padded heel holds great.

During my first trail run with the peregrine 13 I was super impressed.

That day the trails were super muddy so I was somewhat apprehensive but I went for it. I was blown away by the grip that these trail running shoes have, it was absolutely amazing. I ran without fear of falling because I felt comfortable running with them. It was love at first run.

Since then I have gone to trails a couple of more times and I have noticed that the more I run with them the more I like them.

Running downhill doesn’t feel as dangerous to me because the grip (again) is outstanding.

GRIP

It was everything I was hoping and waiting for. Talking more about the grip, which to me is the most important feature as a trail runner. Build with rock guard for max traction and grip. It definitely delivers, I tried them specifically on this terrain and the shoe keeps you in place.

CUSHION

Just perfect, very comfortable. Not too bouncy but enough for a smooth run in the trails and with quick bounce response.

CONCLUSION

Great trail running shoe overall, well built with comfort, good support, and great responsiveness in mind. Can’t wait to get out and hit the trails again with my Peregrine 13!

I do recommend these 100%
