Brooks Carbonite Vest Review

I really wanted to give this jacket 5 stars. I really like how light weight this vest is. It's perfect to wear alone or with a shirt under it. It has plenty of pockets to store gels, snacks, phone, headphones and keys. The chest pocket is large enough to hold my phone comfortably. Even when I run with items in my pocket they don't bounce around. 

The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because when I went to wash this vest. The neon bled all over the white material making it a pale green color. Looking at the photo the jacket on the right is what the vest should look like with a crisp white color. The vest on the left is my vest that is now a pale green color. Alone you can't see it but when you compare the jackets you can see the color difference. The white fabric is also a different type of fabric than the black and neon fabric. 

Overall I think this piece is a great running piece, especially if you are looking for something for high visibility running. Just be aware when washing the vest, avoid softners as it causes the color to bleed into the white material. 

Overall if you are looking for a light weight vest I'd recommend this vest!
