Nathan SpeedView Insulated 18 ounce Review

During my recent trial of the Nathan SpeedView Flask, a handheld water bottle and phone case holder designed for running and walking, I had a mixed experience. The phone case holder was a letdown, as it was too small even for smaller phones like my Pixel 6. This was disappointing since I specifically bought it to carry my phone during runs. On the bright side, the flask securely held my keys, which was a positive feature.

In terms of capacity, the 18oz size was perfect for my needs, especially for distances of up to five miles. As a larger runner, maintaining hydration throughout my runs is essential, regardless of the distance. I appreciated the effective squeeze bottle design, which didn't suffer from leakage issues like some of my previous flasks from other brands.

Contrary to some negative reviews, I didn't personally encounter any grip problems with the flask. It felt secure in my hand and provided a comfortable hold throughout my runs.

While I appreciate the concept behind the Nathan SpeedView Flask, I was disappointed that it didn't fulfill its main purpose for me—holding my phone. However, if you're in the market for a handheld water bottle and don't require the phone case feature, it still serves as a decent option. Just keep in mind the size limitations when it comes to accommodating larger phones.

In conclusion, the Nathan SpeedView Flask has its pros and cons. The phone case section fell short for my phone, but the flask itself performed well for staying hydrated. If you primarily need a water bottle and aren't concerned about the phone holder, it's worth considering. However, if the phone feature is vital to you, it may be wise to explore other alternatives.
