I don't use handhelds often, but I typically like Nathan bottles. I wanted something that would be light to carry and provide enough hydration for shorter runs in the heat. The good news is, this handheld holds water.
For me, it was mostly downhill from there. I felt like I needed to list more cons for this product, but literally everything I disliked about it came back to terrible design.
It does have some redeeming qualities. It's insulated and is very lightweight (about 5 ounces). The pouch has two pockets - one fold over that is phone sized, and one zippered to hold a key, license, cash/card, etc. There are some reflective graphics to help you be seen.
But the design flaws far outweigh the pros. This was marketed as "easy to squeeze" and having a strapping system that "keeps the flask in place without having to grip it."
The bottle itself is actually very difficult to squeeze because of how stiff the plastic is. I had to use both hands to get anything out of it. The slope of the bottle at the mouthpiece is angled poorly and makes it hard to drink if there's not much water left.
The straps were the most frustrating part as they will not stay on the bottle. It constantly slips out of both the top and bottom straps no matter how much you tighten them.
Save your money on this one!
