Summary

Good beginner trail run with limited hills, but still technical trails. Solid directions on trails and good aid station. Positive atmosphere with lots of crowd support.

Soaring Eagle Half Marathon Review

So this was my first ever trail race since highschool and first ever half marathon. The event was well organized and part of an ongoing series in Washington.
Illed that the course was only slightly hilly for my first go at a trail race. They had some food sponsors including Arcteryx, and Cliff bars for good aid station options.
I also liked that instead of the typical cheap participant medal they gave out a race magnate for my fridge. Instead of a t-shirt you can opt for them to plant a tree which I did as well.
Overall a fun race with a few different distances to choose from

Signs on course for which way to go

Other way!

A couple examples of the signs used because this park is a bunch of figure eights that interlink, so these helped out immensely.

Magnate finishing medal

The magnate instead of a medal.

My tired self waving to my daughter.

Around mile 5 of the 13.1
