Hair of the Bear 15k/ Bearly Spring 5k Review

I grew up in the scenic and historic Shawnee area, and I am always thrilled for a reason to return. This was the first time I have participated in the Bearly Spring 5k at the incredible Shawnee Inn and Golf resort. The race is hosted by their Brewery on site, ShawneeCraft Brewery, and held by GOOD DAY FOR A RUN, who does CHIP timing. Each runner received a finisher medal, breakfast buffet, T-Shirt, pint glass, and a ticket for one beer, all included with registration, which was around $50. The weather can be BRUTAL this time of the year, and it is a rain or shine event. We were blessed with sun this year, although it was a balmy 33 degrees and windy, which isn't my favorite to run in, personally. However, the scenery and atmosphere made up for the Chilly weather. I am absolutely signing up next year as well!
