Summary

This is a race that I have personally run a dozen times and have completed 10 times. Not only does this course offer scenic views, but the aide stations are just as memorable. The race director and volunteers go above and beyond to get you through.

Pros
  • Runnable terrain.
  • Excellent volunteers.
  • Plenty to eat and drink.

Blues Cruise 50k

This was my first ultramarathon as a high-schooler. Over the years this race has seen changes in race directors and timing crew; however, the light-hearted and experienced nature of the volunteers remains the same. They will truly go above and beyond to get you to the finish line. The course is mostly single track packed dirt with sections of rock, gravel, and road crossings. Even in the worst weather this course remains highly runnable.

Experience

Never has there been a bad experience at this race, nor have I heard anyone complain for any reason about the Blues Cruise.
