Men's Topo Athletic Specter 3, 82 mile review

Making it easier than ever to hit your faster paces over long miles, the Topo Specter 3 is a max-stacked performance running shoe. It introduces RevFoam, a supercritical ATPU-based superfoam, throughout the full midsole. With plush comfort and high energy return, this featherweight foam cushions your feet and makes the long miles fly by. With each step, the faster rocker shape rolls you through toe-off quicker and easier than before. Complementing this taller and substantially upgraded midsole, you also get the benefit of robust coverage from a thicker rubber outsole. Somewhat rare for a speedy shoe, this coverage means greater durability and inherent steadiness, while adding a little extra bounce at toe-off. Rounding off the updates, the recycled engineered mesh upper is lightweight and breathable to help the shoe disappear on your foot. Of course, it's designed with Topo's signature fit combination: naturally roomy in the toes, with a secure midfoot and heel for cornering confidence. Helping reduce the harsh feeling of late-run fatigue during your quality long runs, daily training, and up-tempo work, the Topo Athletic Specter 3 represents a significant step forward in Topo's high-performance evolution. If you're craving a thick slab of soft and bouncy cushioning that feels featherweight, fast, and fun, look no further.

Summary

I have been excited about this one since seeing it on videos out of TRE (The Running Event) and it has been hard to come by since it was released due to demand. Finally found a pair available in my size. After 82 miles, was it worth the excitement?
