Summary

I was sent a pair of Aerothotic Raido Strappy Women’s Sandals gratis for review, and I now need them in every color. This recovery shoe works, but it also looks great, meaning you only need one pair.

Aerothotic Raido Strappy Women’s Sandals Review

I'm going to start this by saying that I'm about to turn 53, and I run between 36 and 50 miles a week. I'm pretty much always in training with five marathons a year, so let's just say recovery is a big deal to me. I was sent a pair of Aerothotic Radio Strappy Women's Sandals to try out as recovery shoes, and I did what you're not supposed to do. I put them on with no time to break them in, and walked three miles with my friend. (It wasn't the plan, but we were chatting and lost track of time.) As we got back, I realized I hadn't felt any rubbing or stress on my feet at all. Add to that the fact that I haven't worn sandals with anything between the toes for months.

I'd done a number on my legs by overtraining, and when I got back from the walk, they actually felt fine. Rather, I didn't notice any pain, which is a big deal. I've been wearing them every day since after my runs, and it's made a big difference. I have to say, I've worn a bunch of recovery sandals before, but they're usually made of plastic or rubber. These are vegan leather with microfiber padding on the inside. They're wide enough that the shoes won't rub the edges of your toes. If you have wider feet (former ballet dancer here, and I blame that), you know that many shoes will do this.

The heel cup is deep, so I didn't feel like I was going to slip off the sides like you do in many sandals once your feet sweat. There is cushioning, but not so much that it changes your gait. The arch is curved, so there is full support if you have high arches like I do. Of course, now I want to get them in other colors. They come in black, blue, red, orange, purple, and white uppers with black soles.

The best part for me is that they don't look like other chunky recovery shoes. No one would know that they're for recovery at all. In fact, someone stopped me on my walk to say they really liked my sandals! I feel like these would be perfect if you're traveling for a race, because you can pack one pair that can be worn out to dinner, as well as for recovery.
