So, my first lesson in running shoes from the East is that they mostly don't provide the specification details that we are used to in the West. So, some of this is my best guess on compiled information from reviews and ChatGPT.
Weight: My size 12's came in weighing: Left 10.7 Ounces, Right 10.7 Ounces
Extrapolated sample size 9: Roughly 8.8 ounces (almost same weight as Superblast 2)
Heel Stack: What I can find through ChatGPT and other reviews is that this has a Heel stack of 42mm-44mm. When I put a Yueying 5 Pro shoe on one foot and Superblast on the other, they isn't much difference
Drop: Around a 7-8mm drop
Upper: Single-layer jacquard mesh for high breathability, suitable for summer
Outsole: GCU (Ground Control Unit) for superior anti-slip, wet-grip, and wear resistance.
Midsole: Dual layer midsole. Base layer as an EVA based foam for stability features with a fairly wide base. Top layer is their "Super Boom" foam formulated for this type of trainer. Super Boom is a PEBAX-based supercritical foam.
Plate: No, but it does have a shank for increased stability.
MSRP: Amazon has this shoe in colorways from 110 to 120 USD. On AliExpress I have seen it between 70USD and 100USD. I purchased the shoe for 73.92 and that was "out the door". This was during their Anniversary sale.
Use cases:
I put in 50 miles in. My long run was 17.4 miles and my shortest run was 7ish miles. I did largely steady state and easy pace, but the shoe can pick up the pace if you want to throw in some strides, it just doesn't want to live there. I ran on concrete, tarmac, light trail conditions (Grass/dirt) mostly in Dry states as we haven't got much rain here in Texas lately. I did run on a wet street from some construction work going on and the outsoles held great. This is is a prototypical max (greater) stack shoe for long easy to steady pace runs.
I also used this shoe for some walking, probably another 5 miles of walking in addition to the 50 miles of running.
