Getting there/checking in:

Easy to get to the venue by subway and quick walk over. Check in was smooth. Waited in line about 20 mins and checked in, all we needed were our QR codes. We received our wristbands and ankle timers. Bag check was easy and they used your race number to remember the bags. Plenty of bathrooms near the bag check. They had a whole warm area which included all of the equipment during the race and plenty of area to stretch.

The race:

Our time to start was 12:10pm and it was an 85F+ day. I don’t think they anticipated how hot it got within the venue or the amount of racers because for the first 30 mins or so of our race, they ran out of water. Eventually they figured out a solution but it was rough at the beginning. The laps were the same number except for the first km and they clearly outlined before the start. Equipment was great; they partner with Centr. Everything was clearly marked and the volunteers were all very nice. 

We finished with a 1:27:04, which was middle of the pack but we were still very happy with the time!
