I drink a lot of Gatorade Zero. Truly, I may have dyed my insides several colors. I love it and all, but with all the new studies coming out about how bad artificial sweeteners are for you, and with sugar being an inflammatory product, I wanted to find something else. Plus, Gatorade shrunk their bottles and raised the price. I hunted down this product, and got it for $30 on Amazon. When I saw the package, I thought I'd been duped, but no! There are 240 servings in this tiny pouch, as well as a tiny scoop. That breaks down to about $0.13-ish per drink.
You can mix this with anything, from soup to smoothies. I tried it first in plain water. It's got a slightly salty taste (which they mention on the Amazon page). It makes sense as it's got the sodium we need. In fact, it's got 144 mg of sodium, 294 mg of potassium, 25 mg of magnesium, and 6 mg of calcium per serving.
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've used it for a couple of days and I feel fantastic! (I ran 18 miles using it on a day that hovered around 85 degrees Fahrenheit.) Even better? My tummy feels great, and that isn't always the case with too much Gatorade. It's rated keto-friendly, and while I'm not on a keto diet, my husband is and this helps.
