This is a trail race that was one of my favorites. In full transparency, I'm a bit bitter with the age group placing awards change from the previous year, and way it was handled.
But let's talk about the actual runs!
A field of about 80 dogs, this is one of the most fun races we do all year. The CaniCross is a 5K with water at .75 and 2.2 miles. Sounds weird, but perfect for the dogs. Wide trials for this race.
If you run with your 4 legged friend, this is a bucket list run!
The 10k peak to peak is a technical train, that you may need assistance on from your fellow runners. Super challenging 1.5k of elevation right off the start.
Overall, in the last 2 years, We have done. 5 of their runs. We are similar competitive, and the timing service they use has had issues in the past.
Bottom line: if you're running to win, don't. Run this race for fun.
