I love goodr and have loads of their sunglasses. They are affordable, polarized, and come in lots of fun colors. I originally got my first pair for running, but they have become my go-to for everyday wear. I do most of my running around sunrise, so I often find myself heading directly into the sun.
The OG line does a great job of keeping my eyes protected, but I wanted to give the BFGs a shot since the lenses are larger and they come with additional grips to help keep them in place.
The differences between the OGs and BFGs are visually evident out of the box:
However, when I took them out for a few runs, I didn't really experience a significant benefit over the OGs. I will say that I think this is more a testament to the high quality of goodr glasses than a knock on the more expensive options. Even the cheapest options are really great!
The grips behind the ear were probably the most beneficial. The nose grip actually felt really tight and became a bit annoying the longer I was out in the sun. One thing I love about the OGs is that they don't fog up easily, but the tighter fit of the BFGs seemed to contribute to fogging.
If you're used to wearing larger framed glasses like Oakley Half Jackets, you'll notice the additional light that gets through on the side. I think having a significantly taller arm would be beneficial on these and would really set them apart.
Overall, they're good - not great - glasses for me. I'd rather put the extra $10 towards another pair of OGs.
The nose grip sits tighter, but doesn't really seem to hold the glasses in place much better.
The ear grip seemed to be the most beneficial to me. Comfortable and helped them stay in place slightly better.
