The Tickr Fit is an armband heart rate monitor from Wahoo. Coming in around $80 (as of the date of this review it is on sale for $63.99 from the Wahoo website) it comes at a good price in the HR monitor game. It connects easily to your computer or treadmill through Bluetooth. This comes in handy either if I am on my Bike Trainer with Zwift or jump to my Proform Treadmill, which iFit will record with your workout your heart rate. It is easy to get on and off and holds a good charge even for a cold garage in Michigan.
The biggest drawback of this amazing armband hr monitor is the accuracy. More detailed tests would need to be done, but when comparing with my other not-really-accurate all-the-time Suunto Watch, I had a difference of anywhere between 1 and 9 beats per minute. A slightly other con would be, it could slip off your forearm if you bump it or don't have it on far enough (which is another test that would need to be done is, "how does it do on different forearm sizes?")
The reason for the 3 stars is because of not being able to know how accurate it is. It wouldn't be as accurate as a Chest Heart Rate monitor. Although it is not that expensive, It costs the same as Wahoo's Chest HR monitor, and with the uncertainty of accurate measures I had to lower it from a 4.
Overall I have been happy with my Tickr Fit HR monitor. I love that it goes on easily (although it is hard to get on if you have a tight long-sleeve or compression long-sleeve shirt. It was easy to connect with Zwift and my treadmill. The battery life is around 30+ hours, so no need to charge every day even. I would love to compare it more with a chest heart rate monitor to see how accurate the Tickr Fit is. I also can't complain about the price compared with the data you get and being able to monitor during a workout is an advantage, especially for those who train based on Heart Rate.
