The Honey Stinger chews are my go-to long run fuel. I find them to be more palatable than any gu I’ve tried, and I appreciate that I don’t have to chew forever like I do with granola type bars, and I don’t feel like I have to wash them down with too much water. I’d say they’re a bit softer than a gummy worm in texture, which makes for easy chewing.
I suggest getting a variety pack to avoid burnout. All flavors have a honey undertone, but the distinctly different fruit flavors provide a nice variety. These chews last well if you don’t finish the whole pack in a single run.
I use these on runs longer than 5-6 miles, as well as on day hikes around 10-20 miles.
