These shoes are great for trail running and are very supportive. They do well for road running too, but the soles are a bit thicker than they need to be for that. Lots of room in the toe box and very functional. I have purchased 3 pairs in a row and I wear them until they are dead- they are what I wear to tough mudder and spartan so they go through a lot of abuse! Very durable
