The Hoka Mach 4 is what can be considered a do-it-all daily running shoe that shines on medium to medium/fast days. It's touted as a fast shoe, but it doesn't prove to be very speed-inspiring. It's light and nimble, but not mushy, making it a shoe that's comfortable enough for daily runs and capable when the pace is pushed. What's surprising is that this Hoka doesn't skimp on padding, but it is nevertheless an ultralight shoe!
Originally bought for running, however, they were so uncomfortable that I only wear them for every day activity. Provide minimal support and my feet were sliding around because of the wide width. Good for wide width and if need minimal support.
These shoes help keep the pain away. I have always had lower back pain and knee pain when I start upping the mileage, but ever since I’ve started using the Hoka Mach 4s, I can keep the pain away.
Love these! Light and thin but still slightly cushioned. Best IMO for speed workouts! Definitely a tighter and slimmer fit then Clifton 9s though so maybe opt for a wide if your feet aren’t that narrow …
