The Saucony Endorphin Shift 2:
Overall after running in the original Endorphin Pro, Endorphin Speed, and the Original Endorphin Shift I am still happy with the whole line and the Shift 2 has found its way into my weekly rotation.
I typically run in Hoka but have started to experiment with other shoes. This is one of my favorite shoes because it is not as soft as the Clifton 8 or the New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel and so when running a little faster I feel like I have a little bit more getup.
Many of the colors options for the shoe are great and the nice neutral grey means I can wear it to work casually if I am planning a lunch run.
So far the foam and the upper are holding up well and have not seen abnormal wear. I would have liked a little bit more tread underfoot especially for a daily trainer but no glaring issues in this update.
This shoe has found its way into my rotation. Firmer underfoot than others but the plastic heel cup and speed roll mean that it feels secure and transitions well. When running a little bit faster I don't feel like I "sink" into the shoe before toeing off.
I have used it for quick workouts or long runs and have had no issues so far. I find it best for runs between 5 and 7 miles at a moderate pace, especially when wanting a little more pop-off.
