I was sent a pair of the brand new Allswifit ActiveRise+ carbon plate running shoes gratis for review, and these shoes are incredibly lightweight. They've got a real spring to them, and after 170 miles in them, I'm in love.

Allswifit ActiveRise+Carbon Plate Running Shoes Review

I was sent a pair of the new Allswifit ActiveRise+ Carbon Plate Running Shoes gratis for review, and I'm in love. Right out of the box, I was blown away by the weight. These shoes are super-light at 5.25oz (women's 6, thought I wear an 8), and it feels like you're wearing nothing when you put them on. I ran 170 miles in these since they were sent to me (I'm currently training for four races, so my mileage is high at the moment) on pavement, and the bounce you get off these full carbon plate shoes is a delight. I ... don't laugh at me ... felt like a bit of a gazelle and I'm only a very slightly-above-average pace runner. The drop is super comfortable for me at 6mm, though your feelings on that are very personal.

I found that, despite the fact that my legs usually feel a bit of soreness when I change shoes, I didn't get that at all this time. While there isn't as much cushioning as I'm used to, I found them very comfortable, though again, this is a personal prefernce. It's not as soft as the Nike Vomero Plus that I'm used to, but I had no backache (which is often when happens to me when I run with less cushioning). I have a wide foot, so I generally like a large toe box. These aren't large, but I had no pressure issues at all.

I feel like there is a lot of control over my foot placement with the ActiveRise+, and as someone with high arches, I can tell you that they're really supportive. I also love the fact that the fabric is very breathable. The tongue is super slim and flat, which I love, though in some shoes, that can be uncomfortable, as they tend to move. However, these locked down, and I never got a pressure point problem at all. They're just really comfortable. I also did a six-mile hike in the woods with my dad in these on uneven ground, and they're really stable for that sort of use. I also ran in the rainstorm we had in LA recently, and I didn't have any slippage on wet pavement.

They're just bouncy! My feet are happy after wearing them. Plus, after 170 miles, the wear on the bottom is pretty much nothing, which is wild, considering the state of the pavement that I run on. If you're a runner looking for a boost, or you want to try a carbon-plate shoe, the AllSwifit ActiveRise+ are pretty much perfect in my eyes for training. I'd be happy to race in them as well. Even better is the fact that you have a full carbon plate for $119.99 at the time of this writing, so they won't break the bank.
