ASRV Tetra-Lite® Liner Short Review

The ASRV Tetra-Lite Liner Shorts are excellent for runs lasting 10 miles or less, simply because they are a bit warmer than what I prefer for longer runs. My favorite way to use them is for a shorter run from my house, and a weight lifting session afterward. The two large media pockets seal the deal for me - once you go pockets on running shorts, you never go back. I am often running on a tight schedule and also prefer to carry my phone in case my kids need me, so I almost never leave home without it, and these shorts fulfill that requirement with their pockets. Furthermore, I've found that the phone is the most essential first aid kit item when minor or major tragedy strikes while out in the woods.

As a bonus, I get lots of compliments when wearing them, which I did during our local mountain biking festival. The water repelling outer shell is perfect for mud splatters that are inevitable during biking in southwestern Pennsylvania. I have them in Olive and Dark Earth, two muted, dark colors, suitable for getting dirty outside.

I am 5'4" with a 34" hip width and weigh 120-125 pounds and usually wear a size 2 in pants. The size small in these shorts are a relaxed fit, which I prefer. XS would work, too, if you prefer a more fitted feel and look.

Great for post-run weight lifting sessions

ASRV Tetra-Lite® Liner Short Review
Not a feature I really need, but it works well

External drawstring ensures perfect fit and works well with a cropped shirt

ASRV Tetra-Lite® Liner Short Review
I don't love the looks of an external drawstring, but I sure appreciate the functionality

Fun for speedwork

Doing speed work on a looped gravel road, using the towel loop for my shirt and enjoying the 4-way stretch
