Summary

Hoka's max cushion daily runner and walking shoe. I prefer it for active recovery like gym days and light cardio. A bit on the heavy side and durability is an issue on the outsole.

HOKA Bondi 9 Review

Hoka has made a great max cushion recovery and daily trainer for people who like to workout on giant pillows of foam. I prefer them for gym days and walking the dog because they run for me on the heavy side. They also work well as work shoes if you are on your feet all day and want a lot of cushion. They have nice lockdown in the heel and the laces really work well across the forefoot. My big grip is that the quality of Hoka seems to have gone down a bit the last few years and they suffer from fast wear on the outsole and are notorious for rubber peeling off and exposing the midsole foam. Some glue can fix it, but this is a design and manufacturing issue.
