Beautiful morning for this inaugural 5K to support the Conotton Valley Rockets! I loved seeing all the alumni & student support working together! The event was run smoothly & I loved the hill challenges but didn’t love running the gravel roads.

Cons

Gravel road surface

Beautiful morning for this inaugural 5K in the country to support the Conotton Valley Rockets!
Good communication, easy directions, ample free parking, organized packet pickup!
Tons of alumni and student support with the band playing the National Anthem, cheerleaders rooting us on, and students handing out water!
Chip timing
Course was well marked out and back with plenty of volunteers for safety and access to the water station twice.
Several small hills and one large hill gave us a nice challenge. Surface was mostly gravel roads making it a little slower for safety and stability.
Fun finish on the 50 with lots of free finisher photos
Runners receive a SS cotton tee (with a $5 discount no shirt option). Finishers medal and after race snacks for all runners. Top male / female and top 3 age group winners got an Amazon gift card!
