Roundhouse Provisions Hydration Punch Review

I was sent a free jar of Roundhouse Provisions Hydration Punch for review, and gave it a shot for several weeks. I'm always looking for good hydration options, and this one had the benefit of creatine, which is something that's been in the news lately. I didn't realize until it got here that this was a brand that is features a Chuck Norris approval, which is on the package in a very small icon. (It's much more prominent on the website.) I do want to say upfront that I don't feel comfortable with his politics, and while that may not be an issue for you, it is for me. I'm giving the product a fair review, but I can't in good conscience leave that part out.

The Hydration Punch is actually pretty tasty. It only comes in Lemon Lime, so that may be a drawback for you, but it tastes a bit like old school lemon Italian ices that I got from the ice cream truck as a kid. It also mixes really well and doesn't leave you with grit or unmixed balls of powder like some other drink mixes. You use one scoop in 8 ounces of water, and it has no sugar and no artificial sweetener, which is something I appreciate. It's got magnesium, sodium, and potassium, and I found it really hydrating on my long runs. There are 30 servings in the jar, which is great, and I did go through all of it. I do wish it was in travel packs, or at least used a different scoop, as the one in there is really hard to get into my drink bottle, but that's a very small thing and may not bother you at all.

The Hydration Punch also has creatine, and if you've been on any health website lately, or simply looked at the news, you've probably seen it hyped as great for energy and muscles. This product uses Clonapure, with phosphocreatine, though as someone who hasn't used creatine before, I can't compare that to anything. I did find that my muscles weren't quite as fatigued, but your mileage may vary.
