I don't know about you, but I've thrown away dozens of pack bladders over the years I've been running. You can do your best to prop them open to dry out, but there is that one spot that always sticks. When they don't dry completely, they develop mold. Plus, when you run five to six days a week, particularly when it's hot, the bladder may not dry between runs. I've also had to toss a bunch of water bottles because the neck is too small to get a sponge in, let alone an hand. If they're deep enough, even the dishwasher won't help. I end up leaving bottle after bottle out on the counter to dry and it's a huge pain.
I was sent BōnDry by Ancient Trail to try out, and I think I've thrown out my last bladder. This product is a long, flat, absorbent piece of material that you stick inside your bladder or bottle after you use it. You rinse it out, then put the product in with the end hanging out. It absorbs the moisture and pulls it up to evaporate off the top.
That's it. That's all you do. You don't even have to remove it until you use it again. It's machine-washable, meaning you don't have to worry that the product itself is going get icky, and it lasts for use after use. It's flat and easy to pack as well, so you can take it with you if you're hiking or doing a run out of town. This is one of those items that you'll wish you knew about years ago.
