The Never second C 30 Energy Gels were nicely packaged. The gel packs are pretty large , bigger than the gels I was used to using. They are packed with 30 G of Carbohydrates. The gel texture is on the thinner side. At first I wasn't to sure about it especially if you like a thicker gel. But as I started experimenting with the other flavors I got used to the consistency and liked it. They are available in a trial pack which is great because you can try all different flavors. I have to say that the Cola and Espresso were my favorite flavors. I ran a long training run on a very cold morning and had the Cola with me, it reminded me of drinking a Coke . It truly gave me the energy I needed for my long run and helped me also with the elevation on my run when I was running out of gas. The gels are fast absorbing and if you have gutt issues these will not upset your belly with a very mild flavor and not to sweet either. No water needed which is a plus for me because I don't carry water on my training runs. Another plus for me was I also would use the gels when I weight training. Gives me the right amount of energy to finish up my workouts
The only downside I had was I had a hard time opening the packs especially when I was outside running, I tend to tear the packs open with my teeth as I run . The pack is very thick and it would not open easily for me . But the packs are quite large which is a nice change since I was used to a smaller gel in the past that I was using. Also another perk I feel is they are nicely priced especially the trial pack, you are able to spend $18.00 but you are getting 8 large energy gel packs.
