Summary

Garmin brands fanciest heart rate monitor. Has all the bells and whistles to easily connect to your Garmin watch as well as Peloton bikes and treadmills, and others. Monitors/sensors are built into strap so you can't replace just the strap.

Garmin HRM Pro Plus Review

I've had this HRM for a few months now and it has been a real game changer for my data collection on many activities. Wrists are a poor spot to get your heart rate, especially when running. The chest strap heart rate monitor solves those issues and gives you the info you want with accuracy. After a few runs and adjustments I barely noticed that the chest strap is there. With this version I can start a run on my watch and leave the watch at home if I want and it will track all of my data. The strap is soft and easily adjustable and has a easy clip for getting on and off. My biggest complaint, which is a big one, is that the sensors and monitor are directly connected to the strap. So eventually the strap will fail and instead of just buying a new strap I'll have to buy an entirely new monitor/strap system. This is a pretty big error by Garmin.
