Summary

The Timp 5 is my favorite in this year’s Altra lineup. Same foot shape & zero drop, but a little lighter. The Vibram Megagrip is very sticky, providing great grip in all conditions. 29mm stack height provides cushion without eliminating ground feel.

David Moore I need to try these out. Have had 3 pair Lone Peak's and enjoy the zero drop for ongoing ankle issues. The extra cushion sounds nice for long runs or backpacking.

Mike Murphy Definitely excellent for both. I hiked 40 miles in 4 days with them and never had an issue.
