Summary

After 10 of 12 bottles, I can see the advantage, but it comes at a cost. All testing of this product was pre-runfuel, and for a reason. Does it give you extra energy, sure. It is worth the side effects and price. No.

Keytone IQ +Caffeine Review

This is part one of two reviews.   Keytone IQ and Keytone IQ +caffeine are separate.  This is just for +caffeine.  The flavor of this one is drastically improved.  It's not amazing but it's palatable.

Here is the breakdown on the testing:   I purchased 24 of them; 12 regular and twelve+Caffeine.  Alternating which one I would use for runs of 5 miles or more. I would take the shot about 30-45 minutes before I wanted to run.

Fasted Runs.  I believe it help curb my hunger, but no noticable improvement.

Mixed with a other run fuel:  8-12 miles(UCAN bar or gel, Hammer Gel).  Felt great, definitely can use a combo for a 10k, and can I would say it helps extend the primary fuel source.  Ie, I could easily run an hour at a decent place.  Without question extends the amount of time I can run without refueling.

Taking in the middle of the run: Not tested with +caffeine (did with regular). I was too afraid to.

Within 20 min of taking the +caffeine, I was in the bathroom.  Everybody's body is different and you should pretest it before going out for a run.  I have done the math, and can fairly accurate plan a run around it now.

Bottom line:  absolutely works and extends the fuel sources you use as your primary.  Not sure it's worth the five bucks a shot or even doing a subscription for their lower price is worth it.
