I loved my Mach 4s as my daily trainer. The problem with them was they wore down too quickly. Mox Mach 5 had a similar soul and I knew it would be a similar problem. The squishiness of the soul just wears down way too fast.... But in the Mach 6 there is "strategic" rubber. The upper's a little fancier, But it's all about the sole change!

So Hoka called it strategic rubber right on their website. The Mach X also had this reinforced soul but a much heavier price tag and it's plated. With the rocket X2 as my race shoe, The Mach series has become my daily trainer. A. Squishiness of the shoe that you expect from a Hoka, allows for recovery and a nice gentle run.
