Goodr VRG Sunglasses Review

Ever since I picked up my first pair of goodr sunglasses a few years ago, I started collecting them in all shapes, sizes, and colors—but, until recently, I didn’t own a single pair of VRGs, which seemed like a problem for a…collector…like me.  I also didn’t own a single pair in neon chartreuse.  So that’s where the Naeon Flux Capacitor VRGs came in. 

Like other goodr sunglasses, the VRGs are super lightweight—so light, in fact, that if I put them up on top of my head, I often forget that they’re there.  You can easily wear them for hours without getting the feeling that they’re slowly making a painful red dent in the sides of your nose.  Also like other goodrs, they stay put.  They don’t move around or slide down your nose—even if you're working up a sweat.  And they come with mirrored polarized lenses that keep the sun out of your eyes without making everything seem dark and dreary.  I also love the fact that the bright, colorful frames seem to make everything around me seem just a little bit brighter.  Maybe it’s just my imagination (or maybe it’s just the glow of my sunshiny disposition), but I’ve always felt as though colorful goodr frames brighten up my field of vision. 

For the most part, VRGs are quite comparable to the brand’s OGs.  They have a similar shape and size, which is good for average head sizes and just about any face shape.  The main difference is their hip, futuristic-looking single-lens style—which can definitely be a matter of taste.  

VRGs don’t come in as many colors and patterns as the OGs—just six different lens/frame combinations—but there’s something here for every color palette.  And even if you go with black-on-black instead of my neon chartreuse, the single-lens style gives them a little bit of extra personality.
