Nestled within the stunning landscapes of Brazos Bend State Park, the race course features a diverse terrain of winding trails, lush forests, serene lakeshores, and the occasional thrilling gator sighting. Despite my limited experience, the well-marked trails and frequent aid stations provided a reassuring sense of support, making the 50km distance seem approachable.
