Black Diamond Sprint 225 Headlamp Review

When I bought the Black Diamond Sprint 225 last year, I decided wanted to get some good use on it before reviewing. I have managed to do that! This headlamp is exactly what I was hoping for. I bought it specifically because it was rechargeable and I didn't want to have to keep extra batteries on me. I have been pleasantly surprised with just how long the battery lasts. There are multiple brightness settings. Most of the time, I keep it on low brightness and it will last 15-20 hours. In the winter months when it's nice and dark, I have gotten 2-3 hours at full brightness. You can dim to whatever brightness you prefer, so your usage time will vary.

My favorite feature on this headlamp is how lightweight and comfortable it is. I had borrowed several headlamps before purchasing my own. Most were bulky or heavy, which usually led to over-tightening the band to keep it from slipping. I often ended up with headaches if I was out for several hours. With the Sprint 225, you almost forget you're wearing a headlamp.
