Summary

This show required little to no "break-in" runs. I was able to put these on and start running. I drive my foot pretty hard so I needed a shoe that could accommodate that and 95% of my runs being on the road.

Pros
  • This shoe looks really good. The colors are fun and the comfort level is very high in comparison to Brooks.
Cons
  • The laces are a little thick and that can make them loosen after longer runs.

Saucony Ride 14

I wanted a shoe that had fun colors and Saucony did not disappoint! More importantly I needed a shoe that provided more comfort on my foot. I was coming off of some minor knee/foot issues and I wanted to transition from my Brooks Ghosts to something that felt better on my feet. I made the change to these shoes and really enjoyed the overall comfort levels. I do drive my feet pretty hard and spend 95% of my running on pavement. Overall, great shoe for a fast running athlete looking to collect miles on roads.

Experience

My previous experience running is very minor regarding legit events. I did participate in the NorCal John Frank Memorial Run, this 10-mile run was all pavement with an assortment of hills. Prior to that my experience has been running recreational half-marathons and 16k trail runs.
