Summary

I was provided a supply of this highly hyped supplement to test out and review, I’ve used it leading up to, during and for recovery from a target half marathon. I was super excited to try out this performance booster!

SwissRX Nitric Oxide

I was super excited to try this highly hyped performance booster out. I started loading on it 3 weeks prior to my biggest target race of the year. A hilly half marathon in my hometown. Outside of nutrition and hydration I don’t really take any supplements so this was really the only thing I used for this review. So for me this supplement works very well in two ways. It definitely helps make hard efforts feel easier. Speed workout days even when tired from longer and higher volume training late in my program felt easier (although intervals never really feel easy let’s be honest) and my paces were a bit speedier than I thought I could hit late in the training cycle.

On race day especially this supplement really comes to life. For me it’s difficult to simulate race day effort in training so I never truly know what expect. Race day is always way over the edge and on this race day that was noticeably “easier”. My pr on this course was last year at 1:32:33, I smashed that with a 1:28:08 this year (gps gave me a 1:27:02!) which was good enough for 1st in 50-54! Of course all the training over the last year helped to but I’m positive the SwissRX Nitric Oxide was a big part as well. Needless to say I was stoked after the race. I’ve not stopped taking it either which is where the second part of where this supplement helps in my opinion which is recovery.

For me race day is all out all or nothing especially when going for a pr, I try very hard to not leave anything out there and this time was definitely way out there on the effort scale. What I noticed considering how over the edge I pushed is how quickly my recovery went, yeah I was sore as shit but it subsided a bit quicker than my norm, and in just a couple of days I was right back at it feeling strong and breathing easy on runs and rides.

Overall this supplement is worth a try if you’re looking for any or all of the benefits I am experiencing. Other than it being a bit pricey I can’t find any negatives with it.

For reference I didn’t change anything about my nutrition, hydration, or training  when I started taking this and it’s the only thing I took for the weeks leading up to the race and the first weeks after it.

My overall experience with this product has been very good and I would definitely recommend it.

Experience

This is the only product of its kind I’ve tried so far.

This is an incentivized review

I was provided a supply to test and review. I had tried a small sample before and was going to buy it before the opportunity presented itself to test it.
