Pros
  • Stable, firm high-stack XFlow midsole
  • Excellent performance in soft terrain
  • Snug, secure fit with good ground feel
  • Great foot protection and durability
Cons
  • Not much energy return on hard surfaces
  • $185 feels a bit steep for the category

4.3/5

Summary

The Prodigio Max is at its best when trails are soft or terrain is moderately technical. It feels surprisingly grounded and stable for a 37mm stack and fills a niche that a lot of softer max cushion shoes don’t handle well.

Michael Young These are my go to hiking shoes, a tad heavy for me to run in, but good protection and comfort over long days of hiking/backpacking. The Pros are my favorite trail shoe right now for running in currently.

David Moore Yep, I can see that Michael and thinking it’ll be the same for me come spring/summer. I’m definitely wanting to try out the pros, I’ve heard from others that are really impressed by them as well
