Mizuno Wave Riders are neutral training shoes, but light enough to run races in. I would use them in longer distance races like half marathons and above. They are around 9 ounces in men's shoes and a little less for women. For me, I get a lot of miles out of them and they have good cushioning in them.
This is a review for the Wave Rider 25. High drop daily runner with a nice tight breathable fit. Good for runs around 6 or less miles. Just doesn't have the cushion for higher mileage runs.
I have been a runner for more than 10 years and since I tried my first pair of Mizuno wave Rider I connected with them and despite trying many models and brands I continue using waverider it seems to me a very balanced shoe, light but solid
