The Redding Marathon is a Boston qualifying marathon to be held on January 19, 2020. Enjoy a point to point race on paved “river trails” that wind their way along the Sacramento River. “Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge” also includes a 3 person marathon relay. The 3 person marathon relay is starts at Shasta Dam with the full marathon. Transition leg 1-2 is at the Keswick Boat Ramp off of Iron Mountain Road at mile 9.7; Transition leg 2-3 is on the Diestlehorst Bridge at mile 20; Finish Line 26.2: Sundial Bridge.

As the first leg runner, I had the delight of seeing a majestic sunrise on Shasta Dam. This relay runs alongside a simultaneous marathon, and gives runners a chance to participate in a marathon event without committing to 13.1 or 26.2 miles!
