The IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina run course offers athletes a scenic tour of the historic downtown of Wilmington, while running through a spectator-friendly area. There will be numerous cheering spectators to keep athletes moving forward while they head out to the beautiful Greenfield Lake area. As athletes run around Greenfield Lake, they will be shaded by old live oak trees with beautiful Spanish moss. Athletes will also have great views of the lake as they make their way to the turnaround. The run course is flat and fast and offers athletes with loads of support and cheers from spectators, as well as a great opportunity for a fast run split.

It was an important race for athletes to push themselves out of their physical comfort zone and to be part of that experience was awesome. I made some lifelong friends and increased my circle of athletic friends!
