Annual nine-mile Grand River race from Harpersfield Covered Bridge to Hidden Valley Park. Awards to top three finishers in each race category (determined by skill level and boat type). Wear a fun, crazy hat while you race! MADDEST HAT CONTEST Are you mad? (All racers qualify!) Design a hat (or some sort of river-worthy headgear) and wear it April 22. The “maddest hat” wins a prize! The more creative, the better— just go crazy! Hats must be worn during the race and fit under bridges (clearance approx. 140 ft.).

The Grand River Canoe And Kayak Race Is one of the first Spring kayak races of the year in Ohio. Beautiful scenic downriver course. Lots of canoe and kayak classes. Shuttle service back to the start is provided. Great race medals and shirts.
