St. Arnolds Art car IPA 5K 2024 (with 10K option) Review

My third time running in this race.  They had a 10K option for an anniversary event that I chose to do.  I decided to run with my good running buddy for the entire race over trying to set any kind of time goal.  Made the run fun, which is what I enjoy about this run overall, it is just a good ole time.

Check-in/packet pick up

The running shirts you get the past 2 years are some of my favorite shirts to where to running related activities.  Very nice dri-fit material, great design.  They have multiple options on when to pick up the gear and if you are allowed to pick up the packets for your friends.

Support

Plenty of fluid stations on the course even for the shorter distances.  We run by a distillery who had some refreshing shots available.............yes my friend and I did partake in those =)

Course

The course is well supported by the local police to ensure safety for the runners.  The local drivers are used to this run and are pretty patient overall, especially for Houston Drivers.  The course is on roads, which in Houston can be a bit of an obstacle course with potholes, but that is life running on city roads

Atmosphere

It is great from start to finish.  You run under the "start/finish" banner where a band stage is set above it and they are rocking out tunes for the starting line.  The runners love the run so are generally in great spirits, you get a breakfast taco and beers at the end.  It is really one of the more fun runs around

Recommencations

Just do it if you are in the area, it is a great time and run
