Summary

The Altra Rivera 2 model is an affordable everyday shoe. I wouldn't wear them for a long run, but they are great for walking the dog or going on shorter runs.

Altra Rivera 2 Review

I bought these as a second shoe to use during my 50k training this summer. To be honest, I wish I had chosen a different shoe simply because these were not a great option for longer runs. The shoelaces came untied too easily and they needed more support. I will admit that these are great recovery shoes for going on walks and shorter runs. So, if you are looking for a good walking shoe or simply a good affordable shoe, this is a great option. If you are looking to go longer distances, then I would pass on these. Also, I ran a marathon in the Rivera 1 model, and they felt more supportive and the shoelaces stayed tied. It's too bad that this model seems to be a downgrade.

I am a marathon and ultra runner. I love spending time in nature with my fam, friends, and dog!
