Summary

Overall, it’s a nice quiet run and the money goes to a good cause. Wear sunglasses and a hat, the majority of the race faces east. Great law enforcement presence for runner safety. A little bummed that all events had the same medal.

Lion Heart Half Marathon Review

Overall the race was okay but I doubt that I’ll run it again.
This was a big change in pace compared to my last race, The Flying Pig. This is very quiet, low key, and gives you plenty of distraction free thinking time.
It is a pretty area but it was hard to enjoy with the sun beating directly on me for 2 hours, lol. Had I brought sunglasses and a hat it would have been much more enjoyable.
The funds collected go to a good cause. There was a very strong law enforcement presence that I appreciated. They were fantastic about moving about and watching over the runners.
I was a bit bummed to find that all of the races received the same medal. Oh well.
They did a good job at taking care of their runners and it was well organized.
