The X 3 builds off prior Carbon X versions incorporating a knit upper, but still no super foam. A fast comfortable carbon plated racer, but not quite as snappy as I’d hoped. I’ll likely reach for these on long tempo runs but not for races.

Not as snappy as Nike carbon-plated shoes, but just what I was looking for as an advancing intermediate runner. A shoe that rolls just enough for a mid-to-forefoot runner to kick into the next step with great cushion to save your recovery time.

Pros: Comfortable for mid/long steady runs, excellent energy return, affordable price for a "super shoe". Cons: Slightly heavy for race day, knit upper feels too relaxed at times which can lead to heel lift during race pace. Great shoe cycle add!

A great option for Carbon your first pair of carbon shoes. I got these to test out the feeling of carbon shoes and I feel the efficiency. My only beef of the upper that feels like you don’t fully secure your foot and seems like an afterthought.
